Welcome to the Turning Circles!
If nothing you can ever do will be enough, what can you do?
What happens when we contemplate that ecological collapse and climate change continue to unravel? We have to reckon with existential questions; questions so often dismissed. To avoid this unsettling, many of us live with the strange imagination that we can cut our ties to the living earth, fueling a vicious cycle . But maybe this isn’t the only answer. Maybe together we can be courageous enough to build deeper relationships with ourselves, each other, and the rest of this fragile-breathtaking life. Maybe it is through opening to pain that we can come into a renewed relationship with life. Turning Circles is a space that welcomes you to journey through grief together and set out to grow radical (lat. root) connections.
A Caring Space?
To me, caring about the world means seeing clearly, being attentive, and listening to what is there. This opens me to grieve time and time again, a physiological, spiritual process confronting me with this shared miraculous aliveness and fragility, bursting the myth of my human exceptionalism, humbling me to pay attention and take responsibility. I care about care, and I care about grief. On this platform, I provide care in the form of teaching yoga, offering grief counseling, sharing my writing, both more theoretical and personal texts, poems, and essays, and guiding workshops.
